Support from Future Bright for Career Change
I decided to contact Future Bright because I wanted a new career challenge. I had enjoyed working as a teaching assistant at my children’s school, a role that fit well around caring for my children. However, after several years, I felt it was time for a change.
Before having children, I had a successful career in marketing and wanted to re-engage with my creativity and business skills, with the possibility of starting my own business. I began working with a Future Bright Career Coach, and together we researched courses related to creative arts and business development. I selected those that seemed most beneficial.
After exploring some free online courses, I found that starting a printmaking business would be a perfect fit. My coach helped me secure funding for two printmaking courses at Bath College. I have become much more confident and rediscovered a creative way of thinking. I have started a new role as a marketing assistant and copywriter for an art curator in Bath. I really enjoy the work and am confident it will align with my future plans.
