Support from DFN Project SEARCH: Gaining Confidence and Securing Employment
I first learned about DFN Project SEARCH when they visited my school, Fosse Way. After their presentation, I felt that their programme could support my additional needs through regular, close support.
While at DFN Project SEARCH, I gained valuable work experience in the Fracture Clinic for a short period. I then applied for a work placement in the Medical Equipment Management Service department, where I thoroughly enjoyed my time.
When a job vacancy arose in this department, DFN Project SEARCH helped me complete the application on the NHS Jobs website. Their support boosted my confidence for the interview, ultimately helping me secure the position.
