My work placement at P&B Ceilings significantly enhanced my teamwork abilities. I learned first-hand how efficiently tasks can be completed through effective division of labour. I gained practical experience in carpentry, mastering skills like architrave cutting, door lining installation, and skirting board fitting.

During our initial meetings, they took the time to understand my needs and encouraged my transition from education to paid employment in a relaxed and friendly manner. Their support helped me build confidence in my abilities.

I was referred to We Work for Everyone by Bath DWP Job Centre. The Lead Project Officer then connected me with Motiv8 for initial support. Motiv8 encouraged me to apply for several jobs and to volunteer at a local British Heart Foundation shop. Since June 28th, 2023, I have been volunteering there every Thursday, which has significantly boosted my self-esteem and belief in my abilities.

I first learned about DFN Project SEARCH when they visited my school, Fosse Way. Following their presentation, I chose to join Project SEARCH. I spent time in the classroom and gained work experience on the Cardiac Ward.

I first learned about DFN Project SEARCH when they visited my school, Fosse Way. After their presentation, I felt that their programme could support my additional needs through regular, close support.
While at DFN Project SEARCH, I gained valuable work experience in the Fracture Clinic for a short period. I then applied for a work placement in the Medical Equipment Management Service department, where I thoroughly enjoyed my time.
